Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have some series beef with each other - but where did it all begin?

The female rappers were yesterday seen scuffling at the New York Fashion Week Party which ended with Cardi B hurling a shoe at her nemesis Nicki .

The two were caught on camera being pulled apart by security before Cardi was escorted out the party shoeless.

She was pictured looking sour-faced and dishevelled with a ripped designer dress and huge lump on the side of her head.

But when did the feud begin? And how long has this it been going on for?

Fans have constantly made comparisons between the two rappers during Cardi B's rise to fame which appears to have been a trigger for their ongoing feud.

Some say disputes started in March 2017 when Nicki appeared to like a critical comment on a video of the 25-year-old rapping.

The comment read: "Dumb ass bars" which many said may well have been fake activity.

But this didn't stop tensions rising and Nicki later made controversial comments on No Flags with 21 Savage and Offset.

She rapped: "I heard these labels are trying to make another me / Everything you're getting little hoe is because of me."

Many assumed the "hoe" in question was none other than Cardi B, but Nicki shook off the comments by tweeting that this was not true.

Then things stepped up a notch when Cardi B appeared to refer to Nicki on the MoMa PS1 stage following the success of her single Bodak Yellow.

She said: "You know this bitch she never fucking liked me, and all of a sudden she want to be friends with me — no, bitch … I still don't like you bitch."

Then again Cardi B addressed so-called haters on G-Eazy's song No Limit.

She rapped: "My career takin' off / These hoes jogging in place / Swear these hoes run they mouth / How these hoes out of shape? / Can you stop with all the subs? / Bitch I ain't Jared."

But things really took a turn for the worst when both rappers submitted verses for the Migos song MotorSport.

After much confusion over changed lyrics when the song was released in November and December last year, the pair said their piece in separate interviews.

After Cardi interviewed with Capital Xtra, Nicki Minaj broke down in tears talking to Zane Lowe on Beats.

She said: "The only thing with Cardi that really, really, really hurt my feelings was the first interview she did after Motorsport came out."

She added: "She looked so aggravated and angry and the only thing she said was, 'Oh, I didn't hear that. I didn't hear that verse.' I was like, what?"

While tensions seemed to simmer down for a while, another incident at the VMA's saw Cardi B open the ceremony before picking up the best new artist award.

Fans speculated that the last line of her acceptance speech was targeted again at fellow rapper Nicki, who spoke about record labels paying for hits.

She said: "All the love that my fans, that my friends, that everybody shows me, is genuine, is beautiful, and that's something that God gave me that you can't buy."

It wasn't until the Harper's Bazaar party at NYFW that things got physical.

A few hours after the drama went down, Cardi took to social media to slam Nicki in a lengthy attack.

"I've let a lot of s**t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f**k up the way I eat," she fumed.

"You've threatened other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop f****n with them!! I let you talk big s**t about me!!!"

Cardi then accused Nicki of questioning her abilities as a parent.

"I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f****n off!"

She added: "I've worked too hard and come too far to let anybody fk me with my success!!! B*****s talk all that st in they raps but in real like they p*y! This s**t really is for entertainment!"

Meanwhile, Nicki shared a clip shortly after the altercation showing that she hadn't suffered any injuries.
